Media release

The tramjatra friendship between Kolkata and Naarm/Melbourne has celebrated low carbon, clean air urban transport for three decades.

Sundarban tramjatra celebrates the largest mangrove system on earth, the Sundarbans, and its neighbouring megacity Kolkata. Both environments are under increasing social, economic and ecological pressures, with extreme vulnerability to climate change.

Sundarban Tramjatra is a 4 day festival of learning
and moving together towards hopeful futures.
